Michael began learning the bagpipes at the age of 11 with his local pipe band in Beeston, Nottingham, and now has over 45 years of experience as a competitive piper. He is one of the few pipers in England to achieve grade 1 status, with more than 20 years of playing at this elite level. Throughout his piping career, Michael has performed at numerous weddings, funerals, birthday parties, and corporate events across the UK and internationally. He is well-versed in the traditional Scottish protocol expected at such occasions.
